Outdoor Play Toys – Creating Memories
Kids love playing outdoors and play equipment today is safe and fun and fits nicely in your own garden or backyard. Swinging, sliding and climbing is good healthy fun and gives kids plenty of exercise and fresh air that helps them to sleep well at night.
Add a trampoline to the mix and it’s fun for both big and little kids. Not only can they have more fun in the backyard than anywhere short of Six Flags, they’re right there where you can keep an eye on them to protect their safety. And what’s really nice is that the quality play toys are strong and durable and built with safety in mind. Most backyard play toys are designed with children aged 3 to 9 years in mind.
I have four children and one of my favorite things when they were small was to sit in the backyard and watch them play. Kids love to play with outdoor play toys. They use their imaginations and make up their own games.
Keep in mind, it’s important to have toys that are constructed to be used outdoors. They’ll survive days and nights in the elements. And, let’s face it, kids can be pretty hard on toys as well. There are so many great outdoor play toys available today kids will be busy for hours at a time and never have to leave the back yard.
You can also get games for the yard. Kids love yard bowling games. They’re great for younger children. They’ll have a blast and at the same time, spare your walls a bruising. It’s a thrill for them to knock the pins down. And if they score a strike, look out. Mom and Dad can get involved in the game too. It’s fun for everybody.
Bounce houses are really popular, now. They come in various shapes. There are castle shapes and round ones and even hideouts. Believe me, all that hopping and bouncing will burn a lot of energy. Not only is it good for them but they’ll be relaxed in the evenings. There’s nothing better for parents than having the kids burn off their energy out of doors.
Backyard play centers are hugely popular today. They offer a variety of different activities to kids. There are tree houses and castles and balls and ropes and all kinds of different things to capture their imagination. And the nice thing is that there is plenty of room and activities for lots of kids.
My son’s favorite was always the riding toys. Battery operated tractors and pick-ups and cars are the favorites. You can even find motorcycles and dune buggies. The vehicles are just the right size for the kids and they feel so grown up driving them. And, don’t forget the old standard pedal cars. They’re great for toddlers. Pedaling and steering helps them develop their coordination. Like many modern toys, they’re designed to not only be fun but they help to develop motor skills. Hand-eye coordination is an important skill for their development.
Kids like nothing better than having a variety of great toys in their own yard. And we parents enjoy nothing more than watching them have fun. It’s quality time together and you’re creating memories to last a lifetime.

Some great toys you have on here. We have quite a big garden and the kids have just got a trampoline at the moment but have been thinking of getting them an activity set and have found some great ones here!
This is a great idea for kids it’s good to have an equipment for playing at home at least your kids no need to go to far places to play.
It is really good to have outdoor toys in the house. We do have the slide, seesaw, and play house.
kids are so lucky these days to have such great toys!
Outdoor toys are great for the kids if you have a big garden – keeping them active throughout childhood is important. And if you dont have a big garden its just as easy to take the toys to the park.
That top picture looks amazing! I wish I had something like that when I was growing up!
Great site for lots of different outdoor toy ideas. Playing outside is so important for our children. We live in an age where with TV, video games, DVDs, Ipods, etc… it is tougher and tougher to get them outside.
These outdoor play toys are getting so nice these days, some of them are way more than I had when I was growing up. My nephew has something similar in his backyard and he loves messing around on it with his friends. Whenever friends and family are over, he always makes me push him on the swing, higher and higher. He won’t stop, even when it’s time to eat. By that time I’m tired of course.
